About the Masterclass Series
For 5-days immerse yourself in the creative visions, technique and choreography of Louise Deleur and Giada Alcalde, as they come all the way to Yeppoon to celebrate the art of dance with us, and share their knowledge and experience.
We warmly welcome everyone on the Capricorn Coast, Rockhampton, Emerald, Biloela and well beyond to attend, and take part in this great Masterclass series - right here.
Masterclasses like this have the potential to transition dancers to their next level of ability, creativity, choreography and career development. We highly recommend this Masterclass to any passionate dancer looking for an opportunity that usually we have to fly to Brisbane or Sydney to experience. This year, we have brought one of Australia's leading professionals in Contemporary dance, and choreography to you: Louise Deleur. We have also brought the sultry grooves and moves of the latest Commercial Jazz and Hip Hop with Giada Alcade - a graduate from BrentStreet Sydney.
About the Teachers
Louise Deleur - Contemporary Masterclass Series
Louise is founder of Lucid Dance Theatre and the Head of Contemporary Dance and Resident Choreographer at the Queensland Ballet Academy. She founded the BICDPrix in 2018 and is an avid supporter of creating pathways into the professional industry for emerging dancers. We are so privileged to have her visit and take us through contemporary technique, choreography and performance here in Yeppoon. Louise will teach the Intermediate and Advanced Masterclass workshops. Louise will also be available for a limited number of private lessons for students attending the Masterclasses.
Giada Alcalde - Commercial Jazz & Hip Hop Masterclass
Hailing from BrentStreet in Sydney, Giada will take students through their paces to learn the latest in Commercial Jazz techniques and choreography. Hip Hop and Commercial Jazz will be blended together for students to further develop both styles during the week, ending in a performance on stage at Yeppoon Town Hall.
Timetable
Each day students will attend either Allegra Studios or Yeppoon Town Hall (A timetable will be sent out after registration is completed).
On the final day a small performance on stage at Yeppoon Town Hall will provide all participants the opportunity to showcase what they have learnt over the duration of the week. This Showcase performance will be held at 4pm on Friday 30 June, and we encourage participants to invite family and friends to their showcase.

Followed by a Dress Rehearsal at 3pm, before Showcase Performance on stage at Yeppoon Town Hall at 4pm.
Advanced Masterclass Series - Commercial Jazz & Hip Hop - BOOK HERE
Mon 26 to Thu 29 June - 3:00pm to 5:30pm
Fri 30 June - 1:30-2:00pm
Followed by a Dress Rehearsal at 3pm, before Showcase Performance on stage at Yeppoon Town Hall at 4pm.
Choosing a Masterclass Series for you
Intermediate and Advanced Dancers can attend the full week Masterclass Series for a discounted bundled rate, attending 12pm-5:30pm daily.
Alternatively, students can select to do just one Masterclass series choosing either:
1. Contemporary Masterclass Technique and Choreography series with Louise Deleur or
2. Commercial Jazz and Hip Hop Masterclass series with Giada Alcalde.
The intermediate level is for 10-13yrs old dance students that have had a minimum of 2-3 previous years of dance training.
The advanced level is for dancers 13yrs and older, that are normally training 4-5+ hours a week. Previous dance training is essential.

What is included in 5-day Masterclass Bundle - Total Price per person $289 (save $100)
- 4-hours per day of Masterclass series Monday to Thursday and 2-hours on Friday - Total 20-hours Across the two Masterclass series + Dress Rehearsal + Performance
- Costume hire to wear in the Showcase performance on Friday at 4:00pm
- FREE tickets for family and friends to attend the showcase performance at 4:00pm Friday afternoon at the Yeppoon Town Hall
- Certificate of Completion of Professional Development in the Masterclass Series completed - signed by dance teachers. This is great for including in Students Dance Portfolio.
Attending this event and FOOD
Students need to bring water bottle, Jacket, Fruit/snack break, Lunch, towel, and wear comfortable neat and tidy dance attire.
All students under the age of 18yrs must be signed in by a parent, and signed out before collection.
BYO Lunch or PRE-ORDER Your Lunch Box - SAFETY RULES
Students are required to bring their lunch for each day - as we can not accommodate students leaving either of the premises during the hours of 12pm and 5:30pm unless with a parent/guardian.
We have provided a Lunch/Snack menu that includes sandwiches, fruit, snacks, drinks and gluten free/veg/vegan options to assist with the easy management of the students week - and keep them energised for class. (Dancers get hungry!)
Upon Registration, you will be emailed an invoice for payment, Student Profile and Lunch menu. These lunch boxes can be pre-ordered and paid for with your registration, or ordered the day before required, by no later than 1pm with full payment.
